Product Description
With the publication of Finding Fish, his memoir of a childhood spent in foster homes in and around Cleveland, Antwone Fisher shared with the world his story of perseverance, determination, and courage. And he also showed that within him beat the heart of an artist -- a major factor in his resilience and recovery. Now with Who Will Cry for the Little Boy?, his first collection of poetry,Antwone Fisher reveals the inner truths that took him from a tumultuous childhood to the man he is today. The powerful poems presented here range from impressions and expressions of Antwone's years growing up to the love that he has gained from the family he made for himself as an adult. From the title poem -- which is featured prominently in the movie Antwone Fisher -- a plaintive, haunting tribute to a childhood lost to abuse and neglect, to "Azure Indigo," the uplifting and touching poem about his daughters, many readers will find their own feelings and experiences reflected in this lyrical and passionate collection.

Who Will Cry for the Little Boy?..... July 5, 2005 blackaciddevil (in the USA somewhere.....) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
After watching Denzel Washington's film, "Antwone Fisher", and hearing 'Who Will Cry for the Little Boy' on the movie; I was deeply moved by the poem that I started looking on the internet for any of Antwone Fisher's published work(if there were any at the time). Surprisingly, there was and this was one of the books that I picked up. The book covers a wide range of emotional poetic works that anyone can definitely relate to. I have to admit, Antwone is one of the most talented writers that I've ever read in my time. I look forward to more of his thoughts, feelings and poems if he decides to continue writing.
Who Will Cry for the Little Boy is a must-read for anyone with a love of poems or not. This is really good stuff.

WHO WILL CRY FOR THE LITTLE BOY by Antwone Fisher is a small book of poetry that packs a mighty punch. Filled with poems that tantalize just about every emotion, Fisher treats readers to a voyage into his inner being. WHO WILL CRY poetically chronicles Fisher's development from a troubled boy into a man who has fully taken control of his own destiny. These poems are poignant and emotional. They evoke a sense of intimacy which makes you want to hug the writer, wish for a love like he shares, and wipe away the pain that he has felt. WHO WILLCRY FOR THE LITTLE BOY is a satisfying collection of poetry that will stir up a bevy of emotions in readers and sate them at the same time. Simply Beautiful July 25, 2003 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
How refreshing it is to read poetry that does not come from an angry or political place. Mr. Fisher imagined a beautiful world for himself filled with love and beauty. I am so happy that Mr. Fisher restored my faith in the belief that art imitates life. Through his poetry I understand there is hope for us all.

This is very nice book of poems that is spoken from the heart. Antwone Fisher is going to make such a mark on this world. I feel like we have yet to see the greatness of this man.

I truely believe that a poet should write from the heart. After reading these poems, I was captivated. It took the author courage to express his deepest emotions and desires and I admire Antwone's spirit. I am truely happy that Antwone has now found peace and success in his life.
